The application of image analysis techniques on video surveillance systems permits to analyse and handle the information contained in video images and acquire useful data for the operational efficiency and business intelligence.

People counting 

The application of people counting on any people traffic area provides visitor’s data and enables the statistical knowledge of transits, analysis of tendencies, etc.

Knowing how many visitors an establishment gets, what are the days and hours of highest traffic, how they are distributed and how they behave, will allow managers and owners to adjust the personnel to client flow, to know the business better and to make decisions that will improve its profitability.

Our PeCo (PEople COunting) units perform video based people counting. The units incorporate intelligent sensors that analyse the images from the CCTV cameras placed on an overhead position over the desired areas. They work with standard cameras and do not require additional hardware or software installations or equipment.

 
The data can be consulted via TCP/IP (Internet, LAN, WAN...) from any PC or laptop by accessing the interface of the unit or by using the software PeCo-Graph; an application that aids the collection, analysis and graphical representation of the counting data from multiple units transforming them in useful information for management purposes.


Visual control of Point-Of-Sale transactions 

In business that are open to the public such as commercial centres, retail stores, bars & pubs, restaurants, etc..., the addition of the POS Text insertion function to the digital video surveillance unit provides additional protection to one of the most critical and sensitive areas of fraud: the Point-Of-Sale.

The Point-Of-Sale is an area determined to be a considerable source of shrinkage and thus, having a video surveillance system with POS function allows owners and security personnel to verify the legality of any transaction.

Our PeCo-POS units help to identify and make evident fraudulent operations that may not be easy to detect by using only video, such as short rings, non-existent returns, no sale transactions, substitute scannings...

Able to insert text of the Point-of-Sale terminals on the video images in real time and bringing in tools to define, search and identify suspicions PeCo-POS units make easier the data analysis and the exceptions report of the selected transactions, generally of those that imply the withdrawal of money such as cancels, refunds, returns, voids, no sales or payouts.
